I joined Inna's class last year, as a beginner in my 60s, and already I am noticing improvements in strength and balance. Inna gives clear instructions, with variations for those more advanced, so we are all stretched (in every sense of the word) at the appropriate level. I've been going to Inna's Wednesday lunchtime class in Ealing for a few years now.  I find it an excellent break in the middle of a busy week, I relax and yet feel fitter and more energised when I leave, ready to tackle the other half of the week. I also use some of the exercises that Inna has introduced to us as part of my morning wake-up exercise.  She's a lovely teacher. - Rowena

 

I have been participating in my Pilates Shape&Relax class for the last 12 months, and I am feeling the benefits. My core strength and flexibility have improved significantly, I have learnt to relax better through the breathing technique that we use in class, my lower back problems are now much easier to manage then ever before. As a regular runner, the class has also been invaluable for improving my balance and stamina. I find the class very helpful, especially after a hectic day at work. When I first started Pilates two years ago I wasn't sure exactly what it was, but I suffered with lower back pain and thought I would give it a go. I am also 'alergic' to high impact exercise of any sort so I thought this sort of exercise would suit me. Since joining I realise that, although low impact, Pilates does give your body a good work out. I feel more toned, and certain exercises that we do really help when my back is feeling stiff and playing up. It also helps that Inna advises what things I should avoid and which exercises would help me. - Nigel

 

I have gone for a few years to a yoga class once a week which I really love but had never tried Pilates. I added your class once a week and I find I am much stronger, my body has changed shape (everyone thinks I’ve lost weight which is not the case!). I have been doing classes for about two years with Pilates Shape&Relax, and it is the first time in 52 years I have stuck to any exercise regime. I feel so much better about myself and can see a definite improvement in my shape and in my ability to perform everyday tasks. My sleep has also improved a lot, as I discovered ways to relax easily using the breathing technique we are practising in class. I find the exercises really do strengthen and tone. These are exactly what I need to improve my upper body strength, and i already feel my lower back is much stronger then before. The fact that you target different muscle groups gives the whole body a thorough work out. The pace at which the class is conducted is also good so people do not feel they have to keep up or slow down. Besides we can individually chose to have the exercise harder or easier at any point, as you say everyone is unique..Thanks again! - Jillian Murray

 

It actually works! I've been doing Pilates moslty every day for about nine or ten months now, and I've noticed a big difference in my body. Although I was in pretty good shape before, now I feel stronger and buffer and actually happier. And my teacher told me this: for most people, after ten classes you feel the difference, after twenty classes you see the difference. So true. Many thanks Inna! - Kate Turner

 

I am a beginner , but can honestly say that the flexiblity of my neck and shoulders has been greatly helped by Inna's classes.

I find the pace suits me and the very detailed guidance offered during the class.
